I am Jodi Fisher founder of Go Guarded. The inspiration for Go Guarded came a few years ago during a solo run in a local park when I inadvertently took a wrong turn and ended up a tad concerned for my personal safety. The sun was setting and I found myself in an unfamiliar and secluded part of the park. While I picked up the pace and found my way to a more populated area the concern for my personal safety while running stuck with me.This experience led me on an unfruitful search for safety products for runners. I was actually shocked by the lack of convenient comfortable effective options that made sense for runners. Although I had no product development experience at the time I had and continue to have a long background in criminal justice and a good amount of personal safety knowledge. A lot of stressful days and sleepless nights later Go Guarded was born.
