Kolkman and Judy Chin in 1999 with the mission of managing all vital aspects of product development, prototype and shoe production so that their clients can focus on the marketing and sales.The brand was named after the co-founders’ family names Chi- Ko During the early days of CHIKO as a shoe manufacturer, the founders found that not only the brand designers are working with sketches, but also the consumers enjoy the idea of designing their own shoes by sketching them, and have them custom made into wearable shoes.
